Making pictures from moments in life
Because we are all unique
"Each day as I observe and participate in this movie that we call life, I try to make pictures that capture moments that otherwise might have been lost to time. I hope that you enjoy viewing them. I certainly enjoy making them."

These galleries contain pictures that were previously posted on the "old" MichaelTapes.com web site. Most of them were taken with the Canon D30 Digital SLR and some early ones with the Canon A20 Point & Shoot camera. I mention this only because digital technology has progressed so far over these few years that the visual quality that is now possible is mind blowing. This is most noticeable in the low light pictures where the limits of the D30 can be seen in terms of the noise within the pictures. Because the majority of the pictures were taken in RAW mode, I will be able to take advantage of todays technology and re-develop them as if I still have the undeveloped film (very cool!). I plan to do this over the next several months, but in the meantime I will begin to post some of my newer work from 2001 to the present time. Please stop by from time to time and join me on this journey. Your comments are welcome and appreciated.

"There is nothing more interesting to me than the people that I meet in my daily life. I enjoy watching them as they go about their lives. If I am lucky and diligent enough, I will make pictures of them or better yet with them."

Dec 28 2005:
20 pictures from the Space Coast Fair are now posted. I hope to add more every few days. Hundred will be posted.
